Effective International And Domestic Student-directed Active Learning Programs Geared To Elevate Lives of Students, Eliminate Correctional System Involvement (Such as: "School To Prison Pipelines"),

Elevate Student Retention (Eliminate Drop-out) in Academic Programs Until Students Accomplish Sustainable Lifestyles Within The Community They Live

Abstract

In addition to my desire to contribute to the global thriving of human civilizations, increase sustainable practices of husbandry of living things (flora and fauna) in the blue planet earth’s biosphere, while simultaneously contribute to ending poverty and homelessness within the USA (nearly one-third of USA citizens currently are drawing some form of welfare-2019), I have started a self-paced study of effective international and domestic student-directed active learning programs geared to elevate lives of students, eliminate correctional system disruptive involvement in K-12 education (such as: "school to prison pipeline"), and keep students in academic programs until they accomplish sustainable lifestyles within the community they live.

International Student-directed Active Learning Programs Geared To Elevate

Such programs already exist internationally and are statistically effective. (For example: in Asia, India, and Australia, their programs are Montessori Method based programs which provide for a continuum of learning which links together sequential education programs for primary, elementary, middle, and high schools (Pre-K-12). School size varies in enrollment and range from intimate groups of home-schooled siblings to huge populations of students of more than thirty-five thousand students. These schools are effectively equipping students who are coming from impoverished lifestyles (below poverty level: i.e. their homes do not have electricity, running water, or gas and houses are jammed with occupants in densities USA housing standards would not qualify as legal.)

The impoverished students are being clothed in school uniforms, fed three meals on campus (which they actively participate in preparing, setting up and cleaning up as part of their academic hands-on learning programs), equipped with all the materials they need to succeed, and educated, (not dropping out). The students enter the workforce with complete sets of skills as self-supporting and sustainable, living, contributing members of society. These Montessori Method programs are operated from dawn to dusk by professionals who supervise the students into community leadership, who are empowered with work-based skills acquired from their internship like jobs on campus, happily support the family-like atmosphere of their self-directed learning programs. The programs are all scaffolded by administrators, teachers, and parents. Students and professional teachers lead, mentor, respond to each other’s questions and needs.

Domestic Student-directed Active Learning Programs Geared To Elevate

USA has three publicly-funded Secondary Montessori Schools who are doing great things eliminated student drop out rates, and equipping students with skills which will qualify them to enjoy a professional profitable future.

My Doctoral Dissertation

For my Doctoral Dissertation, I desire to study international and domestic student-directed active learning programs (many with supplemental STEM artificial intelligence hologram directed online classroom experiences). My Dissertation will provide both qualitative and quantitative analysis of the effective programs and USA demographics identified as most in need of the programs. I desire to design effective curriculum, write proposals for USA school districts to adopt my recommended teaching programs and administer the grants to develop and implement the programs. I would first choose to work with the School Districts who serve families who are impoverished and whose living standards are below the poverty level, who are at-risk for the "school to prison pipeline" and who are far from sustainable self-supporting lifestyles.
